How To Find Someone's Details With A
Reverse Phone Lookup
Performing a reverse cell phone lookup is all about knowing where to look. Many people post information about themselves online, and if you can find it then you will be able to identify them from their number.

Step 1 - Use Google
To find out someone's details from their telephone number, you first need to see if they have any data online. To do this, first type their number into Google.Just type in the number as you see it below (be sure to include the full area code!):

After you've typed in the number, hit "Search" and see what comes up. There will be all sorts of web sites that appear, but the ones you really want contain the whole number. The sites that will appear will just have a mixture of different businesses and mathematical sites which contain some of the phone number.
You really need to find a site which contains the exact number, so you can check to see if they have the name & address data that you want:

You should do that by putting the number in quotation marks. This tells Google to search for that exact phrase and not all the different parts of it. This should bring up sites which contain the phone number in its entirety. You just need to go through the top results and then see if they are present in there!
Step 2 - Use Social Networks
If you can't find out the details of someone just from a Google search, then it's time to search through the social networks for their details. To do this, you just need to head to the most popular social networks, namely Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn and then search for the phone number in their search boxes.
This might reveal the details that someone has on these sites (many people are putting their phone numbers on their profiles now). This might bring up results or it might not. Most likely, the chances are that you will not find any results this way.
If this happens, you may want to use a special "Reverse Phone Lookup" service
Step 3 - Pay For The Details
If you have no luck with the methods I've suggested, then you might want to consider paying a small fee for the records. There are companies out there who have collected reverse cell phone information from the likes of banks, government agencies and energy companies.... where people sign up for services and competitions.
What happens is that these reverse phone companies take the data from the big corporations and then put it into manageable parts that you can download and search. There are several companies which do this now, but by far the most popular is one called "Reverse Phone Detective", which charges a $14.95 one-off fee for records:
